Paper Bat At Night Craft

There’s no right or wrong way to do today’s chalk art bat in the night craft idea! All it takes is some rubbing of Crayola sidewalk chalk on some paper and the free bat printable I’ve included in the supply list below!

To complete our super fun and rather easy chalk art bat flying in the night craft, you will only need a few pieces of yellow and white chalk, dark colored cardstock paper and the free printable I have designed specifically for this post. That’s it! We are talking CENTS to complete your own colorful Halloween night piece!

Did I mention even adults can participate on this one?! You could easily make it a family affair today! Plus no two “spooky night portraits” will be the same {kinda like the real deal!}

Chalk Art Bat In The Night - Kid Craft Chalk Art Bat In The Night - Kid Craft

It’s time to let your imagination soar! Get inspired by this stunning chalk art bat gliding through the night sky and explore the endless possibilities that await you.

Craft Supplies:

  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Bat Printable – Landing Page
  • Scissors
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • School Glue or Glue Stick
  • Yellow Sidewalk Chalk
  • White Sidewalk Chalk
  • Baby Wipes
  • Halloween Stickers

Directions:

  • First things first – grab the FREE Halloween bat printable, listed above in the supply list.
  • Go ahead and print it out on a single sheet of white cardstock. One print will allow you to make TWO crafts today. Print as many as you like.
  • Now grab your paper craft scissors and cut out one of the bat shapes in the printable.
  • Set aside the paper so you can repeat the craft again later.
  • Grab your dark colored cardstock paper and the white & yellow chalk.
  • Starting with the white chalk, rub it all over the gray paper to create “spooky” smoke and clouds to set your Halloween night scene. Add as many or as little as you like.
  • Follow that up by taking the yellow chalk and make a huge circular moon in the center of it all.
  • When done adding the chalk, use baby wipes to clean off your fingers.
  • Now grab your bat cutout from earlier and the glue stick.
  • Glue the bat piece to the center of the chalk art design.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit {maybe some glitter glue or some other Halloween themed stickers.}
  • Then display your custom one-of-a-kind paper art bat in the night piece proudly for all to see!
