Let’s step take a step “outside the traditional” for a minute and instead of giving our “gingerbread men shapes” the same ole’ boring look this holiday season, while not make them into GINGERBREAD REINDEER BALLERINA FRIENDS instead!

Reindeer Gingerbread Ballerina Craft Idea For Christmas

Who says basic paper gingerbread man craft shapes have to be boring and decorated just as is? Why can’t we take them a little outside the traditional and make them into other fun holiday characters instead?!

I mean hello? Aren’t my Gingerbread Reindeer Ballerina Friends super cute?! And you can customize them however you like!!!

So with ALL that being said, I want to challenge YOU to do this craft with your child today! I’ve even included a FREE gingerbread shape printable for you to enjoy, in this very tutorial you landed on today! From there, you will just need to raid your craft stash for some colorful cupcake liners, pipe cleaners, rhinestones and small wiggle eyes.

Gingerbread Ballerina Reindeer

These gingerbread reindeer ballerinas are the perfect craft ideas for kids this holiday season! They’re festive, fun, and easy to make!

Craft Supplies:

  • Gingerbread Printable – on our landing page
  • Light Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Scissors
  • Large Cupcake Liners
  • Small Wiggle Eyes
  • Red Rhinestone Stickers
  • Gold Pipe Cleaners
  • School Glue
  • Stapler

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the FREE printable on a single sheet of kraft or brown colored cardstock paper. You need ONE print per gingerbread reindeer craft.
  • Next using your scissors, trim out the gingerbread design in the printable. Discard excess paper afterwards.
  • Now you are ready to BAKE up your masterpieces with some decorating. Grab all your embellishments.
  • Fold a cupcake liner in half and glue it down for her tutu in the center.
  • Grab the pipe cleaner and fold it in half for the antlers.
  • Staple it in place.
  • Finally, glue on the googly eyes and rhinestone nose.
  • When you are done decorating your pieces, go ahead and set them aside to let them dry completely {if you used school glue.}
  • And that’s it! You now have a awesome paper gingerbread reindeer cookie to show off ALL season long! Remember – you can ALSO hole punch a hole at the top and turn her into a Christmas ornament with string!
