Paper Bowl Reindeer Craft Idea For Kids

We are talking INEXPENSIVE supplies when it comes to this Christmas themed paper bowl Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer craft idea!

I’m known around the internet for being the “paper plate queen” on Glued To My Crafts but I got NEW goals for myself! I’m hoping to tackle paper bowls next! Here’s to making that happen – starting today!

Seriously – inexpensive WHITE paper bowls are the perfect painting canvas {just like a paper plate} and the circular shape will come in handy for so many craft ideas! Not to mention, they are super easy to find at most grocery stores, so you honestly have NO EXCUSE not to pick up a pack {or two} on your next shopping trip!

Paper Bowl Christmas Reindeer

These charming little reindeer are so simple to make and are sure to get your kids in the Christmas spirit!

Craft Supplies:

  • White Paper Bowl
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • School Glue
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • Googly Eyes
  • Gold Pipe Cleaner
  • Stapler

Directions:

  • Flip your over your paper bowl, so the inside portion {where you put your food} is facing the table.
  • Squirt your brown craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Next have children paint the bottom of their paper bowl completely brown.
  • Set aside to let it dry.
  • Next grab your brown cardstock paper and cut out TWO ears for the reindeer.
  • Follow that up by cutting out a large circular nose from the red cardstock paper.
  • Now grab your gold pipe cleaner and fold it to look like antlers.
  • To finish off the Paper Bowl Deer – glue your wiggle eyes and red nose in the center of the painted bowl, while stapling on the ears and pipe cleaner antlers towards the top.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit, before displaying your completed reindeer paper bowl craft proudly for all to see!
