Burlap Woodland Gift Tags From Pendant Triangles - Kid Craft

Get your kids excited about crafting with this easy burlap woodland friends project. Perfect for decorating packages, these gift tags will give any present a special touch this holiday season!

Craft Supplies:

  • Burlap Canvas Triangles
  • Craft Paint {we used gray/brown/orange}
  • Foam Paint Brushes
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Large Wiggle Eyes
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Hand-Held Office Stapler

Directions:

  • First things first – squirt your choice of craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Next grab ONE burlap triangle per gift tag craft.
  • Go ahead and paint your burlap pendant triangles to create the head of your woodland creature {brown for the beer, gray for the raccoon and orange for the fox}
  • Repeat for each piece you want to make today.
  • Once done, set them all aside to let them dry completely.
  • While those are drying, go ahead and cut out some facial features from the colored cardstock. Think eyes, nose, ears etc. Don’t forget some antlers for the deer gift tag!
  • To finish off the Woodland Friends made from burlap triangles craft – staple/glue on the cardstock pieces in place, as well as any other embellishments.
  • Then display and/or play with proudly! I just strung string through the hole of mine but you can also hot glue ribbon to the back for easy hanging!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
