UNICORN CRAFT SUPPLIES:
To recreate your handmade circle shaped unicorn gift tags, you will need some flat unfinished 3.25 inch wooden circles {I found mine in the wood craft aisles of Michaels, my trusty Tulip Puffy Paint, white craft paint, a paint brush, scissors, hot glue gun, ribbon/twine and some gold & white cardstock paper.
Remember – you can also substitute/swap out some of the supplies with things you have on hand already!
You can find ALL our favorite craft supplies via our AMAZON SHOP link!
THE DIRECTIONS:
First things first – paint your blank wooden circle completely white. Repeat for each unicorn wood tag you are making today.
Next grab your puffy paint and draw on eyes and flowers for the unicorn. Throw on some glitter on top of the wet paint if desired. Once done, set aside to let it dry {puffy paint typically takes a few hours to dry FYI!}
While you are waiting for your masterpieces to dry, cut out a unicorn horn and ears from your cardstock. At this point in time, also go ahead and cut off a piece of twine/ribbon to make your piece into a gift tag {or into an ornament!}
Finally, finish off your Wood Slice Unicorn Christmas Gift Tag by hot gluing your gold paper horn and ears to the wooden piece, as well as the ribbon/twine to the back.
Then set aside again to let it dry completely before gifting away proudly or hanging it on the tree!

A FEW MORE IDEAS:
Don’t feel limited by our “circle” shaped unicorn gift tags in this tutorial. You can also find some small square wood shapes or mini square paint canvases to create yours. Then follow the same steps as above!
My last suggestion is using these “rough” wood slices and using yarn for the unicorn’s hair! Depending on what colors you choose for the yarn, you could make them for ALL the holidays {like in my image where I made this one for Halloween}
Now don’t all these unicorn gift tag craft ideas look fun? All of which are super easy peasy to recreate and I hope it inspires you & your child today {maybe even beyond the holidays, like a birthday or Valentine’s Day!}
