DIY Paper & Sticker Eyeball Halloween Bookmarks

Get spooked this Halloween with this fun and creative eyeball bookmark craft made just for kids! Take your reading to a whole new level of fright with this handmade project that’s easy and fun!

CRAFT SUPPLIES:

  • To complete these bookmarks, all you need to recreate this simple bookmark kid craft is the eyeball stickers, black cardstock paper, a single hole punch, scissors and colored yarn. That’s it! Several of these supplies are probably hiding in your home right now!

DIRECTIONS:

  • Start off, by simply having children trim down their cardstock paper to a desired shape/size for their bookmark. It can be as big or as little as they like! Just make sure they have room for their eyeball stickers.
  • Next have them put the eyeball stickers ALL over their cardstock paper piece, to represent the eyes in the dark {for that spooky Halloween feel!} Again, they can add as little or as much as they like.
  • Once done decorating the cardstock piece, simply hole punch a hole on the top of the bookmark and thread some yarn through it to really “tie” it together.
  • Now you are done and ready to use it to mark your spot in your favorite book!
  • Repeat over and over again to make a whole set of bookmarks to give away to friends and family, this Halloween season!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
