Monster Eyeball Celery Stick Snacks

Monster Eyeball Celery Sticks - Halloween Snack Idea For Kids

Monster Eyeball Celery Sticks – Halloween Snack Idea For Kids

Being crafty – goes beyond handling some paper and glue.

What means crafty to you, probably doesn’t mean the same to another. As mothers we are crafty in our own little way. And as they say with kids – every mother is different as well.

If you enjoyed playing with your food as a child, you can only imagine how much your child does too.

*Enter my picky eater son.*

There are times it’s like pulling teeth with him. To get him to try or eat new things is a challenge. But if I take the extra step to present it in a different. fun way – he is more than likely to try it {and eventually figure out, he likes it.}

So when I came across these candy eyes at Target, I had the perfect afternoon snack in mind.

This “spooky” snack goes perfect with Halloween but also a monster themed party or just another day in our life. It’s a creative and fun spin on the “Bumps On A Log” snack and is great for little boys who like creepy stuff. Boys {and girls} will enjoy making them as well and you will get some veggies in their belly at the same time! Can we say score???

If you would like to recreate this Halloween themed snack idea for your child today, keep scrolling for all the details!

Here is what you need to make your own Spooky Monster Snacks:

  • Candy Eyeballs {I found these at Target with the Halloween stuff, but Michaels has these too}
  • Squeezable Peanut Butter {I think smooth is the best way to go!}
  • Washed/Cut Up Celery Sticks

The Directions:

  • You can’t mess these steps up at all – I swear!
  • Simply clean and cut your celery into short sticks.
  • Take a butter knife and slather peanut butter on the side of the celery that has the curve.
  • Stick your candy eyes to the peanut butter and BOOM – you have spooky monster themed snacks instantly!
  • Then serve, eat and enjoy!
