Valentine Ice Cream Craft Supplies:
* Large Craft Foam Hearts – one per valentine ice cream craft {affiliate link}
* Brown Sharpie Marker
* White Shaving Cream
* School Glue
* Foam Paint Brush
* Small Bowl
* Colored Cardstock {we used red and black}
* Basic Craft Scissors
* Loose Craft Glitter/Sequins
optional – embellishments like glitter, rhinestones etc.
Super Simple Directions:
* First have children mix a small amount of school glue and shaving cream in a small bowl. One squirt of shaving cream and a dollop of school glue should be good. Mix together with a paint brush until it’s nice and thick. Set aside.
* Now grab your craft foam heart {one per ice cream craft} and criss-cross draw lines on it with a brown marker. You will want to make the craft foam piece look like a waffle cone.
* Next working somewhat fast, grab the shaving cream mixture and have children “paint” on the ice cream portion on the top half of their heart. They will want it to be thick so it will really pop when it dries.
* While the mixture is still wet, have children sprinkle some glitter and colorful sequins on top of the wet mixture for the “sprinkles” on the ice cream. This would also be a good time to cut/place the cardstock cherry on top of the glue mixture. If you miss this step, you can always glue/staple it on afterwards when the piece is completely dry.
* To finish off your Craft Foam Heart & Puffy Paint Valentine Ice Cream, have children set aside their piece in an undisturbed location to let it dry completely for an hour or two.
* Then display proudly!!!
