Mini Popsicle Stick Footballs

These small craft stick football creations would be great with small magnets hot glued to the back, so you can decorate your fridge with your child’s sport pictures! HINT HINT!

Mini Wood Craft Stick Footballs

It’s fall and we are officially ready for some FOOTBALL craft ideas on Glued To My Crafts!!! {and the crowd goes wild!!!}

Today’s Mini Popsicle Stick Footballs craft tutorial doesn’t cost a lot and the rules are simple! We are going to paint the mini popsicle stick “ball” completely brown and get ready for kickoff with a simple white stripe in the center!!

Like I mentioned above, you could easily hot glue small craft magnets to the back of the finished pieces and use them as decor on your fridge. PLUS you can make a whole bunch at once {for super cheap!} and gift them to ALL the members of the team.

Popsicle Stick Footballs - Kid Craft

Craft Supplies:

  • Mini Popsicle Sticks
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • White Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • School Glue

Directions:

  • First assemble the base of your football by gluing your mini popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {6 next to each and two across}
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Repeat for each football piece you want to make.
  • Next have children paint the front of their popsicle stick shape completely brown.
  • Set it aside again to let it dry completely.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Football craft, have children draw a thin line of white to represent the stitching of the football.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit {maybe some glitter or write a team name on it!}
  • Allow it to dry completely before displaying proudly!!!
  • Remember – you can hot glue small craft magnets to the back for hanging on the fridge.
