Inspired by my husband’s favorite type of beer {and his latest homebrew that he made from scratch recently} today’s Chocolate Stout Beer Bread is sure to be loved by all the dark chocolate and beer lovers out there!

I promise you this delicious beer bread recipe is not over-complicated or tricky with the ingredients either! In fact – I whipped this baby up with just a few simple baking ingredients {and a bottle of beer} that were already in my pantry. Easy-peasy is how I like it and this recipe is just that!

Chocolate Stout Beer Bread Recipe Chocolate Stout Beer Bread Recipe

Bread Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup stout beer
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/ 4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips {and a few extra for on top}
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350.
  • Spray a 9×5 loaf pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  • Grab a large mixing bowl. Whisk together your beer, melted butter, eggs and vanilla. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, sift together your flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Now dump it into your wet mixture bowl and mix well.
  • Once all your ingredients are well combined, fold in your chocolate chips.
  • Now pour your mixture into your loaf pan. Sprinkle a few more semi-sweet chocolate chips on top.
  • Place in your oven and bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick in the center, comes out clean.
  • Once done, pull out of the oven and let it cool completely before slicing & serving. Enjoy!
