Acorn Magnets For Kids To Make This Fall
Not only is this time of year absolutely PERFECT to get crafty BUT it’s also the perfect time to knock out some handmade gifts for friends & family members too!
So without further ado – today’s Sequin Acorn Magnets tutorial is fairly easy for anyone to make {kids & adults} really inexpensive and sure to make a lasting impression too! Plus they make for a great keepsakes to display on the fridge during the fall season, as well as something to treasure from the kids for years to come!

Get your kids crafting this Fall with this easy and fun clay acorn magnet craft idea! Perfect for little hands, it’ll get your kids creative juices flowing.
Craft Supplies:
- White Air Dry Clay
- Acorn Shaped Cookie Cutter
- Gold/Brown/Yellow Loose Craft Sequins
- Rolling Pin
- Tweezers
- Adhesive Magnets – one per acorn magnet

Directions:
- Grab your clay and a rolling pin.
- Roll out the dough on a flat surface.
- Grab your acorn cookie cutter and cut out your shapes.
- Carefully transfer each one to a cookie sheet or large ceramic plate.
- To add some bling and color, grab your tweezers and sequins.
- Gently push them into the clay near the top of the acorn. Arrange them however you want but keep them in that general area.
- Once done, place your clay shapes on a cookie sheet or plate.
- Then place in an undisturbed area and let them air-dry for a few days. Depending on the thickness, it may take a bit longer.
- When your sequined clay acorn pieces are completely harden, go ahead and hot glue your magnets to the back for easy displaying on the fridge!

Super fun, right? You can also really let your kids go wild on this one by skipping the sequins, letting the clay pieces air dry as it and THEN painting them instead. OR you can add other embellishments like buttons, feathers, glitter etc. Just have fun with it!!!
