Egg Carton Pom Pom Matching Game For Toddlers To Play With!
One thing I want to do more on the Glued To My Crafts Blog is share more busy bag ideas and kid crafts tutorials.
Kid crafts have always been my most popular posts, and busy bag ideas I think go hand in hand with that. I promise – they will still be easy and affordable, so you will want to stay tuned.
If you haven’t heard about busy bag activities before, you should know that they are awesome!
They are basically easy/affordable learning tools/toys that are great to keep toddlers {and even older children} busy. You just assemble, put in a plastic bag, stuff it in your purse and when your child is whiny – pull it out! It’s the old school version before Iphones came around ;)
There even use to be a group in my area that met every month to exchange them with each other. Basically there were 10 people in the group, each person made ten of the same activity and then they would exchange them. The end goal was to go home with ten new activities. If that is something that interests you, there might even be something like that in your area! {Or you can start one up yourself}
So enough chit chat – let’s get to today’s post. I call this our Egg Carton Pom Pom Matching Game. Total cost – $0. Yup. Since I recycled the egg carton and had paint/pom poms on hand – it cost me NADA! The price I absolutely LOVE and I bet you do too!
To recreate it, I highly encourage YOU to keep scrolling to the full recycled egg carton and pom pom matching game tutorial below! Then when you DIY it for your young child, snap some pictures and share them on our Facebook page to see! I can’t wait to hear more about how your child loves it, as well!

Egg Carton Pom Pom Match Game Craft Supplies:
* Empty Egg Carton {one per match game}
* Various shades Shades of Craft Paint That Match Your Pom Poms
* Small Paint Brushes
* Pom Poms

Directions:
1. Paint each slot in the egg carton a different shade of paint. Let dry completely.
2. Then hand over to your child so they can match up the pom poms in the matching spot.

My son really enjoyed this colorful pom pom matching game. When he was done playing, we closed the lid up and stored away. When my son outgrow it, all I have to do is pull out the pom poms {for future crafts} and toss the egg carton.
BTW – if you don’t have the right color to match the pom poms, try mixing paint colors to get desired ones. I ended up having to mix white/brown to get the right shade of tan I needed.
