Counting Ants Game For Toddlers

Counting Ants Learning Game

Hi friends! One thing you should know about me, is that I absolutely LOVE Dollar Tree when it comes to my kid craft needs {side note – I use to work at one as a cashier, while in high school} You seriously can’t go wrong with their prices {hello ONE dollar} and I always seem to have a cart full of stuff that really comes in handy for our homeschooling needs.

Last Halloween I happen to come across these black plastic ants in their party aisle. Although they are really creepy and I really didn’t have a plan for them back then, they had to come home with me.

After hiding them in a plastic container for a few months, now they are the perfect pieces for the Counting Ants Game that I’m sharing with you all today.

In the past, these types of DIY preschool games have been really popular on my blog and I really hope you take the time to print this picnic themed one off & play it with your child today!

To assemble this simple Counting Ants Game, all you need to do is download the free printable file below – then laminate, grab some plastic ants and find a good space to set up shop. Then to play, simply have children identify the number on the food pieces and place the correct amount of “ants” on them. Then repeat over and over again or change it up as you see fit!

The possibilities are endless – I just set up the basic framework for you on this busy bag idea! So if this is something you are interested in, keep scrolling to snag the FREE printable below! Happy crafting and playing with your little one, my dear friends!

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
