There are a few different ways to “complete” this craft but it all starts with printing the provided file on WHITE cardstock paper.

Next, kids will color the design and write down their reasons for “loving” the lucky recipient of the card. When I first envisioned this craft, my goal was to make it low-pressure for kids, giving them the freedom to fill in as much or as little as they wanted. This flexible design allows kids to personalize the handmade card however they like. Think of their messages as “sprinkles” on an ice cream cone. They can pile them on or keep it simple! The choice is theirs!

Another thing I kept in mind was that they can also add the extra element of a handprint cutout or skip that part if they choose. This allows older kids, whose hands might be too big for the paper, to participate as well.

And that’s it! That’s how kids can recreate this craft idea. It’s doesn’t get any easier than this! This ice cream cone I love you because craft can happen within minutes and I sure hope you give it a try today!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
