Winter is here, bringing with it the magic of snowflakes, warm cocoa, and endless crafting opportunities. When the temperatures drop, nothing beats gathering around the table with little ones to create memorable art projects.

This season, transform your home into a cozy crafting haven with an exciting pom pom stamped mitten activity that will captivate your children’s imaginations and warm their hearts.

Pom Pom Stamped Mitten Craft

Craft a Cozy Winter Adventure w/ Our Pom Pom Stamped Mitten Craft Idea for Creative Kids

Craft Supplies:

Before embarking on this creative adventure, gather all necessary materials to ensure a smooth crafting experience. The following list includes everything you’ll need to create your pom pom stamped mittens:

  • MITTEN Template – on our landing page
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Wooden Clothespin
  • Large Sized Pom Pom
  • Loose Craft Glitter
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • White Cotton Balls

Make It:

Now that you’re equipped, it’s time to guide your young artists through the process of creating their pom pom stamped mittens. Follow these easy steps for a successful crafting session:

  • First print the blank mitten template listed above in the supply list. My suggestion is on colored paper but feel free to change that up. You only need ONE print per winter glove craft.
  • Next grab your printable and flip it over on your working space, so the glove design is facing the table. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
  • Now grab your clothespin and pom pom.
  • Pinch the pom pom inside the wood clothespin. This is now your paint brush.
  • Next squirt the various colors of craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Dip the pom pom paint brush in one of the paint colors, then on the printable anywhere you like {remember – this is all being done on the back side!} Unlike our previous tutorials, this time you can really go to town on your pom pom paint design. You just want “stamps” focused mainly in the middle of the paper.
  • Repeat under you have the desired look you want.
  • Go ahead and also sprinkle loose craft glitter on top of the wet paint.
  • When done painting, set aside the paper piece for SEVERAL hours till the paint is completely dry.
  • To finish off the Pom Pom Stamped Mitten Leaf craft, use scissors to trim out the design. Since you did the stamping on the back side of it, you will be able to flip over the paper and just follow the clean lines to cut out the mitten shape.
  • And that’s it! I added cotton balls to my finished piece but you can of course skip that step.
  • Now display your pieces proudly for all to see!
