This St. Patrick’s Day, bring some of that magic into your home with a delightful kid-friendly project: creating a Leprechaun Cauldron Suncatcher!
This easy and fun craft is perfect for kids of all ages and can serve as a charming decoration for your windows, catching the sun’s rays to give your home a touch of leprechaun luck. PLUS, this project reminds us all that sometimes, the real pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is the time spent together on a craft, making memories that gleam just as brightly!
So on that note, gather your little ones around and get ready to indulge in a bit of Irish folklore with this creative art project.
Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t have to be limited to parades and the wearing of green. With this Leprechaun Cauldron Suncatcher craft, you invite the charm of Irish legends right into your home and provide a vibrant activity for the kids!
Craft Supplies:
- CAUDLRON PRINTABLE – ON OUR LANDING PAGE
- White Cardstock Paper
- Colorful Tissue Paper
- Shamrock Cutouts {Dollar Tree}
- Scissors
- Clear Contact Paper
- Loose Glitter or Sequins
Directions:
- First print the FREE cauldron template listed above. You will want one cauldron printable per craft.
- Grab your scissors.
- Trim out the cauldron, as well as the oval center from it.
- Discard excess paper.
- Now grab your clear contact paper.
- Cut out TWO pieces that are bigger than the cauldron cutout.
- Remove the backing from one piece of contact paper.
- Lay it on a flat surface.
- Place the cauldron cutout, face down, on the contact paper.
- Next have children decorate the inside of their cauldron however they like {remember – it’s whatever THEY want in their brew.}
- Once they are done “mixing and stirring” their potion, grab the second piece of contact paper.
- Peel off the backing and place it on top of the other piece of contact paper, moving your hand around to “squish” everything together.
- To finish off the Stained Glass Leprechaun Cauldron craft, use your scissors to trim out the cauldron/remove the excess contact paper.
- Then display proudly on a window with tape!!!
