Not only is it perfect for St. Patrick’s Day but it offers plenty of room for creativity and imagination. Your little ones will love getting involved in all the steps to create, from transforming a simple cauldron into an eye-catching piece with vibrant colors to adding leprechaun details like shamrocks, rainbows, pots of gold, and other charming characters!

With this simple craft project as inspiration, help your children bring life to their masterpieces by adding some sparkle with glitter or even customizing them with different colored paints.

Paint Splat Leprechaun Cauldron Craft

With some help and guidance from parents, teachers, or educators, kids will be able to create their own unique cauldron using Tulip puffy paint!

Craft Supplies:

  • CAUDLRON PRINTABLE – ON OUR LANDING PAGE
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • Tulip Puffy Paint
  • Loose Craft Glitter
  • Shamrock Stickers
  • Paper Craft Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the provided cauldron shape listed above, on white cardstock paper. You will want ONE print per craft.
  • Next up – use scissors to trim out the cauldron shape {as well as the inners of it!}
  • Set aside the cutout piece till later on.
  • Now fold a single sheet of gray cardstock paper in half.
  • Unfold it and squirt some paint on one side of the paper.
  • Once the paint is down, go ahead and refold/squish your paper together again.
  • Use your hands to to rub all over the folded paper piece, so the paint blends together nicely inside.
  • When ready, carefully unfold your piece to reveal your “paint splat” design inside. This will become the inside of your cauldron.
  • Working fast, go ahead and sprinkle some loose craft glitter on top of the wet paint.
  • Go ahead and also add in your shamrock stickers.
  • Now grab your cauldron cutout from earlier, along with your stapler.
  • To finish the St. Patrick’s Day Cauldron craft – place the cutout on top of the paint covered piece and staple the corners so the two pieces won’t come apart.
  • When done with the craft, set aside your piece to let it dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!
