SUPER QUICK Cupcake Liner Watermelon Card Idea
Alright my dear crafty friends! I have another craft challenge for you today! Let’s make some “one in a melon” handmade cards for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday!
YUP! I challenge YOU to skip the overrated, over-manufactured store-bought stuff all together this year and go with today’s super easy & rather quick with our latest handmade watermelon card idea. You could even pair it with a watermelon slushy drink from Sonic or maybe even grab a container of pre-sliced watermelon from the grocery store, if the receiver hates candy {and let’s face it – it might be a nice change of pace if you think about it!}
To recreate these handmade cupcake liner watermelon Valentine’s Day card all you need is some cardstock paper, a large pink colored cupcake liner, Sharpie markers and a few valentine embellishments to give it that “lovestruck” look. Super easy, basic materials you probably already have in your stash, so really there is not excuse not ton recreate it today!

Cupcake Liner Watermelon Card Craft Supplies:
* Large Pink Cupcake Liners – one per watermelon card {affiliate link}
* White Cardstock
* Premade Cardstock Card Fronts {think Valentine colors}
* Paper Craft Scissors
* Small Adhesive Wiggle Eyes – two per watermelon card
* Small Heart Stickers
* Thick Tip Green Sharpie Marker
* Regular Tip Black Sharpie Marker
optional – glitter, rhinestones, etc!
Directions:
* First take ONE large pink cupcake liner and flatten it out with your hands.
* Next take that flattened pink cupcake liner and fold it into thirds/a triangle shape, to create the slice {and the inside flesh} of the watermelon.
* Glue it down, in the center of a single sheet of white cardstock.
* Now trim down that particular cardstock piece to be placed on another colored cardstock card front.
* Use the glue stick to attach the two paper pieces together.
* Now grab the wiggle eyes.
* Secure those in place, to bring the watermelon slice to life.
* Take the black Sharpie marker and draw on a simple smile under the wiggle eyes.
* Follow that up with a few black dots for the “watermelon seeds” on the cupcake liner.
* Now grab your green Sharpie marker and draw on curved rind design, just above the cupcake liner.
* To finish off the Cupcake Liner Watermelon Valentine Card – write a cheesy Valentine’s Day saying on the outside, as well as in the inside.
* Add other embellishments you see fit {maybe some heart stickers} and display/gift away proudly!
