Girl Scout Cookie Truck Craft

It’s that time of year again! I’ve already seen a few Girl Scout cookie booths set up in around our area, so I was recently inspired to make ANOTHER kid craft idea in honor of the yearly fundraiser tradition! This time I’m taking my original popsicle stick and paper truck design and altering it for a unique “cookie mobile” theme!

So whether you are a troop leader or your child is actively involved in the Girl Scouts, please keep on scrolling to check out the full POPSICLE STICK COOKIE TRUCK craft tutorial below. It’s super easy and the supplies are inexpensive, so you can make this with a large crowd on a very small budget!

I also think this popsicle stick Girl Scout cookie mobile craft would also make for a great personalized piece as well. Just cut out a small square where the “driver” would sit and secure a picture to the back. From there, you can add string to the back for easy hanging or add a magnet or two for displaying on a fridge. With that being said – wouldn’t this be great for summer project or maybe even a Christmas ornament idea?

Well… I’ll let you get to it! Everything you need to know can be found in the FULL tutorial below! I hope our unique cookie craft post inspires you! Happy crafting, my friends!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Mini Popsicle Sticks
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Basic Craft Scissors

Directions:

  • First grab THREE jumbo popsicle sticks, TWO mini sized ones and the school glue for your craft {the popsicle stick amounts are per truck you are going to make}
  • Lay the three large popsicle sticks next to each other, one by one, on a flat surface.
  • Now grab your other two mini one and glue them the other direction to create a fence.
  • Set aside to let it dry a bit.
  • Repeat the above steps for each truck you want to make today.
  • While those are drying, grab all your cardstock paper. Cut out embellishments for your truck {like wheels, the window of the truck, the cab, as well as THREE to FOUR large circular cookies.}
  • Use the Sharpie marker to embellish the cookie paper cutouts.
  • Set all these aside when done.
  • Once the popsicle stick shape is dry enough, go ahead and paint it with your green craft paint.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Girl Scout Truck, glue the cardstock pieces you made {including the cookie pieces  in the back of the truck!} in place, as well as any other embellishments you see fit {think rhinestones, glitter, etc.}
  • Finally – go ahead and use Sharpie markers to draw a “driver” in the window of your truck.
  • When it’s all done and dry, display it or play with proudly!

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
