Of all the “kid crafts” available on the internet these days, I hope you like this one the most!
Keep scrolling to see how I made these “All The Fish In The Sea” cards and recreate them for yourself!
Paper Fish Card Craft Idea For Father’s Day
This latest handmade card idea from Glued To My Crafts is perfect for Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Grandparent’s Day – WHEW! Honestly it can be used for whenever and for whomever you think needs a little pick-me-up!
With our “of all the fish in the sea” themed card printable that you will find below, we have laid out most of the work for you.
All you will need to do is decorate the pre-drawn fish in your own custom way, cut out each section and then add them to simple cardstock cards. That’s it! And although I added what I call “confetti paper scales” and wiggle eyes to mine, you don’t necessarily need to. Just like a regular coloring page, these fish can look any way you like!
So what are you waiting for?! All the details are listed below and we hope we inspired you with this quirky fish themed kid craft. Remember – our “You Are The Only One For Me” idea is also great for a large setting too! Think church, camps, summer play-dates etc! Just separate the sections before hand and have each kid make one card at a time.
Happy crafting, my friends! A HUGE shout out and thanks to LisaMarkleSparkles for the fish graphic I used in today’s freebie! #gluedtomycrafts

Get your kids excited this Father’s Day by helping them create a special handmade card!
Craft Supplies:
- Sea Card Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Color Printer
- Paper Trimmer
- Glue Stick
- Crayons, Markers or Colored Pencils
- Small Tissue Paper Confetti
- Small Bowl or Dish
- Small Wiggle Eyes
Directions:
- First things first – access the link listed above in the supply list.
- Print out the fish card template on a single sheet of white cardstock paper. One printable makes FOUR fish cards at a time. Please only use our file for personal use.
- Adhere each cut out piece to a single card front, you make by folding cardstock paper in half.
- Next grab your choice of coloring medium.
- Color in each fish design, however you like.
- Next up, grab your purple glue stick and make a thick line of glue inside the body of each fish. I like the purple glue stick for this step because you can see where you are placing down the adhesive but it later dries clear.
- Working pretty fast, you are going to want to sprinkle, dump and rub your paper confetti where you just put glue down, to make the “scales” on the fish.
- Try to make as many of the paper circles stick on the card but if they don’t, just shake off the excess & discard them.
- If desired, glue on a simple wiggle eye on top of the original one in the card printable, for each card.
- Add other embellishments you see fit.
- Finally, write a sweet message inside and gift each card piece away to someone special!

Customize It:
- Instead of using paper confetti like I did in today’s kids craft tutorial, you can also use a hole punch and colored computer paper to make “confetti.”
- Another fun idea would be to dip your finger {or use a clean q-tip} into various shades of craft paint and then make “dotted scales” on the fish instead.
- You can also bring out the watercolors and black glue for this craft. Just “paint” the fish with the watercolors and follow it up by “lining” the design with Elmer’s Black Glue. It’s similar to our Black Glue Smores Friend tutorial.
