Craft Supplies:
- To recreate this “footprint bandaid craft” you will need various sizes of colored cardstock paper, washable tan craft paint, a paint brush, baby wipes, real band aids, colored markers, a glue stick, scissors and some embellishments like stickers, glitter etc.
Directions:
- First things first – you will want to make your child’s footprint on a single sheet of cardstock {I used white for this step.} Just pick a foot, paint the bottom of it completely with the tan craft paint, press it on the cardstock, lift up and clean off the excess paint on the foot with a baby wipe.
- Once the paint is completely dry on the paper, go ahead and trim around the footprint with the scissors. Set aside.
- Next up – make your card and card front out of some cardstock paper. You will want the card to be much larger than the footprint you just made.
- Once the card is made, go ahead and glue your tan footprint to the center of the card front.
- Now, just a like a real band aid, cut out a rectangle from some scrap tan cardstock and adhere it to the center of your footprint.
- Add dots and a simple heart to the center of the cardstock piece, for some extra flair and personality.
- Finish off your bandaid keepsake card” by adding some real band aids to the card front {simple remove the backing on the Band-Aids and place them down like a sticker to the card} as well as writing “get well soon” on the card with some markers.
- Then write a sweet message inside and gift away to the lucky receiver!!!
