Send handmade “get well wishes” to a friend or family member far away, with today’s Footprint Bandaid Card kid craft tutorial! #gluedtomycrafts
Did you happen to catch our previous “tough cookie” craft post from the other day?
Well… as you can guess, this new “footprint bandaid keepsake card idea” and my previous post were something I came up with, with “people on the mend” on my mind. After all – a handmade gesture “in my opinion” is the best way to send some cheer to anyone on your list and sure to make their day!
Both of these “band-aid themed” ideas are super simple to recreate and just a clever way to get kids involved in “cheering someone up” today!

The Band-Aid Card Supplies & Directions:
To recreate this “footprint Band-Aid get well card” you will need various sizes of colored cardstock, tan craft paint, a paint brush, baby wipes, real bandaids, colored markers, a glue stick, scissors and some embellishments like stickers, glitter etc.
First things first – you will want to make your child’s footprint on a single sheet of cardstock {I used white for this step.} Just pick a foot, paint the bottom of it completely with the tan craft paint, press it on the cardstock, lift up and clean off the excess paint on the foot with a baby wipe.
Once the paint is completely dry on the paper, go ahead and trim around the footprint with the scissors. Set aside.
Next up – make your card and card front out of some cardstock. You will want the card to be much larger than the footprint you just made.
Once the card is made, go ahead and glue your tan footprint to the center of the card front.
Now, just a like a real band aid, cut out a rectangle from some scrap tan cardstock and adhere it to the center of your footprint. Add dots and a simple heart to the center of the cardstock piece, for some extra flair and personality.
Finish off your “bandaid themed keepsake card” by adding some real bandaids to the card front {simple remove the backing on the bandaids and place them down like a sticker to the card} as well as writing “get well soon” on the card with some markers.
Then write a sweet message inside and gift away to the lucky receiver!!!
