Footprint Monster Truck Keepsake Canvas – Kid Craft Idea
Have you guys heard? Glued To My Crafts recently got into making FACEBOOK LIVES! So be sure to check out our Facebook page to see us in action and encourage us on this new journey! We have plans to come live EVERY Monday afternoon, bringing our tutorial to life, so don’t miss out!
Anyways – our most recent Facebook live {today} involved my son and I making this AWESOME Footprint Monster Truck Keepsake ON THE SPOT. It was an idea that I got in my head yesterday, while we walked the aisles of Michaels. Then today on our Facebook live {completely untested or made before hand} we made these keepsakes come to life in less than ten minutes, right in front of our audience.
Again, I repeat. It came to LIFE on Facebook LIVE, within ten minutes and without a hitch. My son did his on his easel, while I did mine, right along with him. If we can do it like this, so can you! I promise – it’s super easy to make at home!!! #gluedtomycrafts
THE SIMPLE DIRECTIONS:
To recreate your own Footprint Monster Truck, all you need to do is paint your child’s choice of foot {left or right} in any color you like and press it into the center of your blank, white canvas. Be sure to remove paint of their feet with baby wipes and soap/water afterwards.
From there, you can either finish the canvas however you like or have your child draw on their version of monster truck embellishments. Don’t forget to add big tires and a flag on the back!
We used Tempera Paint Pens from Michaels to complete ours on the Facebook live, but you can of course use anything you have on hand. From craft paint to Sharpie markers – go for it! You can even bring out the glitter and rhinestones too!!!
OUR EXAMPLES:
The very first picture in this post {the one you scrolled past first} is my finished monster truck version. It’s his footprint in the center of the canvas but I added what I thought would be great embellishments.
Now the picture above this very paragraph is HIS version {he’s SEVEN} I did not coach him or help him along the way. The only thing I helped him with is the footprint step. From there – he did it on his own. I just presented him the materials and he ran with it.
So that’s it!!! That’s a wrap on this footprint monster truck keepsake canvas idea. It’s so easy peasy, that this tutorial is that short! I just hope you see our vision and are inspired to recreate your own with your child today!
We will have more monster truck themed crafts in the coming months – stay tuned! #boymomforever Till then, check out these past truck themed posts on Glued To My Crafts! And always, happy crafting, my friends!!! Don’t forget to share pictures with us on our Facebook page wall, so we can admire your hard work from a far! I can’t wait to see what you craft up! #gluedtomycraftsinspiresyou
