100 Days Brighter T-shirt - Craft Idea

100 Days Brighter Shirt w/painted Stars

It’s hard to believe but THIS coming Friday, my son will have been in school for 100 days!? Seriously – where does the time go? I’m just baffled on how fast it’s really going!

Like most schools, this is a big accomplishment for our elementary school. They are having a celebration party on Friday and I wanted to make something special for my son to wear to mark the BIG occasion.

And since I had a white shirt left from our Pete The Cat #craftfail the other day, it all came together relatively smoothly {this was way better planned out than our craft t-shirt before!} Best part? This idea is also gender-neutral and kids can help making it too!

Anyways… I just hope our homemade 100 Days Brighter T-shirt craft idea sparks some creativity within you and your child! You can find ALL the details you need to know in the full tutorial below!

Happy crafting, my friends and happy 100 days as well! Don’t forget to share pictures on our Facebook page, of your child wearing their star covered 100 Days Brighter outfit on the BIG day!

Craft Supplies:

  • Plain T-shirt
  • Fabric Puffy Paint
  • Large Cardboard Box Sheets

Directions:

  • First lay some cardboard in between your shirt. This will stop any bleed through of the paint to the other side of the shirt.
  • Now lay your cardboard stuffed shirt on a flat surface where it can be undisturbed for 24 hours. Make sure the front of the shirt is facing you.
  • Now grab your choice of color in puffy paint and write “100 Days Brighter” in the center of the shirt.
  • Finish off by having children use yellow puffy paint, to paint on 100 stars all around the wording. They can literally make the stars ANYWHERE they want.
  • Add other embellishments you see fit to your custom 100 days of school shirt {maybe some glitter or rhinestones for girls!} and let it dry completely before wearing!!
  • When the big day comes, wear your shirt proudly for all to see and admire your hard work!
  • Please don’t forget to share pictures of you wearing your shirt, on our Facebook page wall! I can’t wait to see it!
