Instructions:

  • First tear off the lid from the egg carton. Discard the egg cups portion.
  • Now take the lid and cut it in half. Each half piece of the egg carton will be an owl’s body {so you now can make TWO owls today.}
  • Now you will want to trim down the other egg carton piece {the one with the compartments} to give the look of the eyes/beak of an owl {see the above picture for example}
  • When you have your pieces cut out, it’s time to paint the nose and glue on the eyes in their designated spots.
  • Next have children glue on the owl’s wings {feathers} to the lid portion of the egg carton.
  • To finish off the craft, glue on the eyes/nose portion to the egg carton lid with the feathers, to complete your owl.
  • Then add other embellishments {maybe some glitter or rhinestones!} that you see fit or go straight to showing them off when the glue is completely dry!
