Looking for a spooky-cute Halloween project that little hands can actually manage? This fork painted werewolf comes together with supplies you probably already have at home. The best part is that messy fork painting, which turns a plain sheet of paper into a wild, furry monster in seconds.
By the end, your kids will have their very own glittery werewolf ready to hang up for Halloween.
Craft Supplies:
- Grey cardstock paper
- Brown acrylic paint
- Small Paper
- A plastic fork
- Copper or gold glitter
- Googly eyes
- Light brown construction paper
- White paper
- Glue
Directions:
- Cut out the paper pieces first. Snip two pointed ears and one heart shape from the light brown construction paper, then cut two small triangles from the white paper for fangs. Doing this before painting keeps things moving while the paint dries.
- Load your fork with brown paint. Dip the tines into the brown acrylic paint so they’re nicely coated. The fork is your secret fur-making tool.
- Drag the fork across the cardstock. Pull the painted tines outward in short, radiating strokes to build a shaggy, textured fur look. Keep the strokes fanning out from the center so it looks like a real furry face.
- Sprinkle glitter over the wet paint. While the paint is still damp, scatter copper or gold glitter across the center of the fur. The wet paint acts like glue, so the sparkle sticks right where you want it.
- Let it dry completely. Give the paint a little time to set before adding the rest. This stops your pieces from sliding around.
- Glue on the face. Stick two googly eyes near the center, then glue the heart-shaped nose upside down just below them so the point faces the mouth. Add the white triangle fangs underneath the nose.
- Add the ears. Glue one pointed ear to each top corner of the painted fur, and your werewolf is ready to howl.

Cut your paper pieces, fork-paint the brown fur, add glitter while wet, let it dry, then glue on the eyes, nose, fangs, and ears. That’s it, friendly werewolf done!
