How to Make Your Handprint Werewolf and Moon Craft

  1. Print the Template
Start by printing the provided “head printable” file (linked above) onto a single sheet of white cardstock. This file includes three werewolf heads, giving you multiple chances to create this fun Halloween craft!

  2. Color and Cut
Choose one of the werewolf head shapes and color it in. Once it’s ready, carefully cut out the head shape and the text box using scissors. Add small googly eyes to the head to bring your werewolf to life. Set these pieces aside for now.

  3. Trace and Cut the Handprint
On a piece of brown cardstock, trace your child’s hand using a pencil. Carefully cut out the handprint shape – this will form the werewolf’s body.

  4. Assemble the Werewolf
Glue the werewolf head onto the handprint cutout. Then, attach this piece to a sheet of black cardstock to create the background.

  5. Add the Moon and Stars
Flatten a large yellow cupcake liner and glue it onto the black cardstock to create a glowing full moon. Next, glue the text box in place and decorate the scene with gold star stickers to complete the Halloween vibe.

  6. Display or Gift Your Craft
And you’re done! You now have a charming and sentimental Halloween keepsake to proudly display in your home or gift to someone special.

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
