Craft Supplies:
To get started, gather the following materials, most of which you probably have lying around the house:
- Large Paper Plate
- Small Bee Printable – from our spring landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Craft Scissors
- Yellow Craft Paint
- Small Piece of Bubble Wrap
- Markers/Crayons
- Black Cardstock Paper
- School Glue
- Embellishments
Directions:
- First things first – cut off a small section of your large paper plate to make the bottom of the beehive flat.
- Discard the small sliver you just cut off.
- Next up – grab a small piece of bubble wrap and use it to “stamp” some yellow craft paint all over the paper plate. This will give the look of “beeswax” on it.
- Set aside to let it dry completely.
- Now grab your printout.
- Use markers or crayons to color in a few of the bee designs.
- Use scissors to trim them out.
- Add embellishments to bring them to life.
- Next grab your black cardstock paper and cut out a door shape.
- Finally, the last step is to glue ALL the paper elements to the paper plate piece. Start off with the door, then the bees.
- Finally – add anything else you like for that custom look, before displaying your bubble wrap stamped beehive proudly for all to see!
