  • First things first – get your glue gun hot and ready!
  • Grab your jumbo popsicle sticks {8 per ornament craft.}
  • Start off by laying four popsicle stick next to each other, on a flat surface.
  • Now grab the remaining four popsicle sticks and hot glue them, on top of the first four, going the opposite direction to create a sock or boot shape.
  • Allow the hot glue to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
  • Now grab your small paper plate, black craft paint and paint brush.
  • Squirt some black paint on the paper plate.
  • Using the paint brush, paint the newly made popsicle stick shape completely black.
  • When ready, grab your cotton balls and the hot glue gun again.
  • Hot glue a line of cotton balls on one side of the painted shape.
  • Finally the last step – cut, tie and hot glue some string to the back of your decorated piece to make it into an ornament.
  • When it’s all dry enough, display your Santa boot popsicle stick ornament proudly for all to see!
  • Once you’ve completed your Santa boot, why not make another? These ornaments also make heartfelt gifts for grandparents, teachers, or friends.

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
