‘Tis the season for crafting with the kiddos! Let your little elves make these adorable cupcake liner holiday gnomes, a fun and festive holiday project they’ll cherish forever.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large, White Cupcake Liners – one per craft
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Hat Printable – on our landing page
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • School Glue or Glue Stick
  • Scissors
  • Single Hole Punch
  • String, Twine or Ribbon

Directions:

  • First things first – grab ONE cupcake liner per gnome ornament {a total of three!}
  • Flatten each one out with your hands.
  • Now take each one and fold it in half like a taco & secure it with some glue, right in the center, so it won’t come apart.
  • Next grab your colored in printable and scissors.
  • Cut out the three hat designs.
  • Out of the remaining brown cardstock paper, cut out three oval nose shapes.
  • We are ready to assemble now! Start off by gluing on ONE hat, then the nose. You want the cupcake liner to look like his beard.
  • The final step is to hole punch a hole in the top of the festive hat and add the string.
  • At this point in time, you can add any other embellishments you see fit.
  • And that’s it! When you are ready, display your Cupcake Liner Gnome Ornament for all to see!
  • If displaying on the tree is not your thing, you can also skip the hole punch step and add tape for displaying on your window instead!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
