Halloween Snow Globe Keepsake Craft

Not only is it creatively satisfying to make your own unique “spooky” snow globe but your children will be able to take pride in their finished product as they show them off all throughout the month of October.

Craft Supplies:

  • SNOW GLOBE ON OUR LANDING PAGE
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Pencil
  • Black Marker
  • Scissors
  • Tissue Paper
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First things first, grab the free “snow globe” file {listed above in the supply list} and print it out on a single sheet of GRAY cardstock paper. You need one print per keepsake craft.
  • Next up – grab your white cardstock paper and pencil.
  • Pick a hand – any hand will do!
  • Trace your child’s hand on the paper.
  • When done tracing, trim it out.
  • Using the black marker, decorate each fingertip on the paper cutout to look like a GHOST. I added dotted eyes and oval mouths to ours.
  • Now you are ready to start assembling! Grab your choice of adhesive, the printed printable and your decorated handprint cutout.
  • Glue the ghosts “IN” the snow globe design, right in the center of the printable.
  • To finish off your ghost snow globe keepsake, add some purple tissue paper for the “spooky atmosphere” along the bottom of the handprint, as well as your Halloween sticker embellishments all around.
  • At this point in time, you can also write “Happy Halloween” or another clever sayings on the bottom of the finished keepsake to really tie the theme together.
  • Then display your handprint Halloween snow globe piece proudly, for ALL to see!!

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
