USE THE LEFTOVER SUPPLIES TO MAKE —> Popsicle Stick Stocking Ornament

Directions:

  • First things first – grab FOUR jumbo popsicle sticks, TWO mini sized ones and the hot glue gun {the popsicle stick amounts are per holiday camper you are going to make today!}
  • Get the glue gun hot and ready.
  • Lay the four large craft sticks next to each other, one by one, on a flat surface.
  • Now grab your other two mini popsicle sticks and glue them the opposite direction to create a simple door shape.
  • Set aside to let it dry a bit.
  • Once the popsicle stick shape is dry enough, go ahead and paint it with your white craft paint. Simply squirt some white paint on the paper plate and go to town with the paint brush!
  • When done painting, set it aside to allow it to dry completely.
  • Now grab all your sheets of cardstock paper and the scissors.
  • Cut out various paper embellishments for your caravan – one wheel and small rectangle tow hitch from the black cardstock, a door and window from the gray, half circle from the white for the camper top that will go on the back of the piece, two thin stripes from the red and green cardstock for dimension.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Christmas Caravan, use your choice of adhesive to glue the cardstock pieces you made, in place on the painted popsicle stick shape, as well as any other embellishments you see fit {I added the Christmas wreath sticker on the door and drew on Christmas lights with my Sharpie markers.}
  • Also go ahead and attach your Christmas tree sticker to the top of the caravan with some tape runner adhesive.
  • When it’s all done and dry, display it or play with proudly! Remember – you can also add ribbon to the back to turn it into an ornament for the tree!
