Craft Supplies:

  • Corn Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Crayons
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Single Hole Punch
  • Small Bowl or Dish
  • School Glue or Glue Stick

Directions:

  • First things first – grab our free “corn” printable listed above.
  • Print it out through your home printer on a single sheet of white cardstock paper. You only need one print per craft. Print as many as you like but only use this file for personal use please!
  • Next up – grab your crayons and color in the corn design in the printable, however you like.
  • This step is completely optional but if desired, when you are done coloring, you can cut out the decorated corn shape and adhere it to the center of another piece of paper. Regardless, if you choose to do that or not, the craft will still look amazing!
  • Now grab your various sheets of colored paper and the single hole punch.
  • Go ahead and hole punch a good amount of “circles” that will later go in the center of your corn. You will need a lot of paper punches, so go to town on this step! A good tip is to do the hole punching over a small bowl, to keep the paper circles contained till you need them.
  • Next up, grab your choice of adhesive and make several squiggles & lines of glue in the yellow part of the corn.
  • Now, working pretty fast, you are going to want to sprinkle, dump and rub your paper hole punches ALL over the glue, to make “the colorful kernels” in the corn. Keep adding more glue and paper circles until you have the look you like.
  • Shake off excess pieces and set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Then display proudly your colorful paper confetti corn piece for all to see!
  • Don’t forget to snap a few pictures to share with us! #gluedtomycrafts

Customize It:

  • Instead of using paper hole punches like I did in today’s paper Indian corn kid craft tutorial, you can also dip your index finger or a clean q-tip into various shades of craft paint to make “dotted prints” inside the corn instead. Then repeat until you have that desired look, in a different craft medium! Super fun and perfect for the younger children in your home!!!
