This time we are incorporating jumbo popsicle sticks and cardstock paper for this DIY nativity tutorial. With these two simple supplies, we are making it a really easy to pull together on the fly for Sunday school or even at home activities.

Looking for a fun way to teach your kids about the story of Jesus’ birth? This popsicle stick baby Jesus in a manger craft is perfect!
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 2 per craft
- School Glue
- Craft Scissors
- Brown Cardstock Paper
- Skin Tone Cardstock Paper
- Gold Cardstock Paper
- Black Sharpie Marker
- Gold Glitter Glue or Gold Glitter
Directions:
- First take your TWO jumbo popsicle sticks and glue them together to look like an “X.” Set aside to let it dry.
- Grab all your cardstock and scissors.
- Cut out a brown triangle for the “hay” of the craft, while using the remaining cardstock to cut out a baby wrapped in a blanket {a circle and a rectangle with a triangle cut out}
- Now grab your popsicle stick shape and glue your cardstock pieces in place. Be sure to start with the brown triangle first.
- Use the black Sharpie marker to draw on a face, on the baby.
- For added sparkle, use gold glitter glue or just plain school glue & gold glitter, to add some more “straw” or “hay” surrounding the baby.
- When done, set it aside to let it dry completely.
- If desired, hot glue some ribbon to the back for easy hanging on the Christmas tree.
- Display proudly for ALL to see!

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!
