Paper Plate Angel Craft
This easy Christmas craft is perfect for kids! They will love making these adorable angels with their handprints. Deck the halls with these sweet little angels this holiday season!
Craft Supplies:
- Large Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brushes
- Loose Craft Glitter
- Cardstock Paper
- Pencil or Pen
- Colored Markers
- Glitter Pipe Cleaners
- Stapler
Directions:
- First have children cut their large paper plate into a TRIANGLE shape. This is now the body of the angel. Discard the excess pieces.
- Next is the painting of the dress – go wild as you paint your paper plate piece however you like!
- If desired – add loose craft glitter/or glitter glue on top of the wet paint for extra sparkle.
- While they are working on that, cut out a large circle for the head of the angel.
- Decorate the head cutout with markers and other embellishments.
- Next is the handprint wings. Trace/trim out your child’s handprints on the white cardstock {you will need two PER angel}
- Now you are ready to pull it all together! Staple on the cardstock elements in place on the paper plate piece, along with the pipe cleaner halo on top of everything.
- Then add other embellishments you see fit on your Handprint Angel, before displaying your angels proudly!!!
- Don’t forget to share pictures of your child’s finished paper plate angel on our your various social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts

Customize It:
- Don’t have paint to paint the paper plate? Colorful tissue paper cut into small squares and then glued to the paper plate with school glue, would be a good alternative to this craft {and possibly even more fun because you can make a marbled Christmas dress look for your angel, instead!}
- For added sparkle and color on this craft – instead of plain white cardstock for the angel wings, opt for some sparkly scrapbook paper instead! I personally LOVE this brand on Amazon.
- Don’t have sparkly pipe cleaners on hand? You can always hand-cut a halo from paper instead.
