Everyone loves those goofy yellow minions, so that’s exactly what inspired this Fingerprint Minions Card idea!

Who is ready for the movie release of Despicable Me 3 in the coming days?! I know we are!

In an anticipation of all three of heading to the movies soon to see it, I decided to come up with a simple craft that ANYONE can pull together on the fly! What better way to celebrate the new release than with a craft – hint hint!

Thumbprint Minions Cards - Kid Craft Idea For Despicable Me 3

Craft Supplies:

  • To recreate this fun and one-of-a-kind minion kid craft idea, all you need is some pre-folded cardstock cards, white cardstock so your thumbprints stands out, paper trimmer, a yellow ink pad, baby wipes, a thin-tip black Sharpie marker, school glue and small wiggle eyes.

Directions:

  • First things first – trim down your white cardstock so it fits on your pre-folded card front.
  • Next up, open the ink pad and make several yellow “thumbprints” all over your white cardstock.
  • Clean off ink from fingers with a baby wipe and a quick trip to the sink.
  • Now add the wiggle eyes & Sharpie drawings to bring your own army of minions to life!
  • You could even write “you are one in a minion” around the designs to tie the theme together.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely before mailing/gifting away!
