Cotton Pad Easter Chick Cards - Kid Craft Idea

Easter is here and we love a good excuse to make something handmade! Check out below how we took cotton pad rounds and made these Easter chick cards with a few simple steps!

Craft Supplies:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • Cotton Pads
  • Felt Glue
  • Yellow Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Yellow Puffy Paint
  • Orange Puffy Paint
  • Black Puffy Paint
  • Sharpie Markers

Directions:

  • Fold a piece of cardstock paper in half to make a card. Repeat for each card you want to make today.
  • Grab ONE cotton pad.
  • Paint it completely yellow with your foam brush.
  • Now glue the painted cotton pad onto the center of your cardstock card piece.
  • Next grab all your puffy paint pens.
  • Draw on feet, a beak and eyes, on top of the painted cotton pad.
  • Set aside your decorated cards, in an undisturbed area for a few hours, so the puffy paint can dry completely.
  • Finish off your Cotton Pad Easter Chick Cards by adding other embellishments {like some feathers or glitter} before writing a sweet message inside and mailing away!!!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
