That’s why today, we’re excited to introduce a unique and adorable craft idea that will surely capture their hearts – heart-shaped flamingos! This activity is perfect for kids of all ages as it combines both cutting and gluing skills along with the opportunity for self-expression through color choices.
So let’s dive right into this colorful and delightful project that will not only provide hours of entertainment but also add a touch of tropical charm to any room.
Craft Supplies:
- Large Craft Foam Hearts
- Pink Cardstock Paper
- Black Cardstock Paper
- Pencil
- School Glue
- Scissors
- Large Wiggle Eyes
- Single Hole Punch
- Orange Pipe Cleaner
- Googly Eyes
Directions:
- One craft foam heart shape will make ONE flamingo. Go ahead and pull it out in front of you.
- First grab your pink cardstock paper and a pencil. Help children trace/trim out a handprint shape for the wing of the flamingo.
- Out of the remaining paper, cut out a head shape and beak for your flamingo.
- Now grab your heart shape and single hole punch.
- Punch a hole at the bottom of the heart.
- Take the orange pipe cleaner and thread/bend it to make the flamingo’s legs.
- To finish off your Craft Foam Heart Flamingo, glue the wing and head paper pieces in place. Add the wiggle eye as well.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit and display proudly for all to see!
