Craft Supplies:
- Watercolor Paper or Large White Canvas
- Craft Paint {we used turquoise, tan and red}
- Paint Brushes
- Baby Wipes
- School Glue
- Small Rhinestones
Directions:
- First you will want to paint the footprint for the body and tail of the mermaid. Simply paint your child’s foot and press it in the center of a single sheet of white cardstock.
- Clean your child’s foot with a baby wipe and a quick trip to the tub.
- Next take a small paint brush and paint on the remainder of the mermaid’s body, head and hair coming from the footprint.
- Be sure to paint on any other embellishments you would like at this point in time {like drawing on a face so see can see!}
- Once done, set aside to let it all dry completely.
- To finish off your beautiful Footprint Mermaid, glue on some small rhinestones all over the “mermaid tail” to give it a one-of-a-kind embellished look.
- Then display and/or gift away proudly!
