This super easy to recreate Handprint Pineapple Keepsake is the PERFECT accessory to make with your child & add to your home decor today!
It’s a great way to capture their handprints and have a sweet piece of art for your wall. Plus, it’s a fun activity that you can do together!
Craft Supplies:
- Large Blank White Canvas
- Yellow Craft Paint
- Washable Green Craft Paint
- Black Craft Paint
- Small Paper Plate
- Foam Paint Brushes
- Baby Wipes
Directions:
- First things first, squirt your craft paints on a paper plate.
- Now grab all your paint brushes.
- Go ahead and paint the yellow portion of the pineapple, in the center of the canvas first. This will help you place the handprint crown/leaves later on. Be sure to leave plenty of room for the handprints!!!
- For the pineapple body, I did swirls of yellow and a little bit of black mixed in, to give it some texture/dimension. If you just want to do straight up yellow for this step – go for it!!!
- When done, you are ready for the handprint crown on the pineapple!
- Paint one of your child’s hands {the palm of the hand} completely green and press it on top of the yellow portion of the pineapple you just painted.
- Repeat if you like to give it more dimension.
- Clean off excess paint from the hand with baby wipes and send your child to the sink for even more washing {you really want to make sure that paint is off!}
- Add other embellishments to your handprint pineapple canvas as you see fit {I did a dotted patterned around the edge of ours.}
