Paper Cup Mini Easter Baskets - DIY Gift Idea

Mini Easter Basket Party Favors

The weather is starting to turn beautiful here in Wyoming and stores are pushing out their new spring lines.

Every where I turn, I see fun pastel colors and floral prints. Are you getting ready for spring, like they are?

Although Easter seems so far away – it’s going to creep up on us fast. Like REAL FAST! So on that note, it’s time to start thinking {and planning} for celebrations we might have in honor of the holiday.

Today I’m sharing an EASY {but impressive} party favor craft that you can whip up in less than an hour. I call them “mini Easter baskets made out of paper cups!”

They are perfect for filling with small sweet treats or even a colored, hard boiled egg. And of course – you can change up the colors to reflect your Easter/spring color scheme. Just grab a pack of paper cupcake liner cups and make a few small trinket gifts for friends, family and maybe a complete stranger. I just hope you are inspired by the quick gift idea tutorial below! Happy crafting, my dear friends!

Directions:

  • First grab ONE paper cup per gift you want to make today.
  • On each cupcake liner cup, punch two holes across from each other.
  • Take one end of a pipe cleaner and thread it through the hole you just made.
  • Secure it with a knot, so it won’t come out.
  • Repeat for the other side of the paper cup, with the same pipe cleaner. This is now the handle for the basket.
  • The last step is to place a small piece of tissue paper inside the cupcake liner and along with the desired treats.
  • Repeat these steps for each mini gift basket you want to make today.
  • Then gift away!
