Fingerprint Painted Eggs On Paper

Inspired by spring and my favorite part of the season – today’s Thumbprint Egg Hunt art project idea is super easy to make within minutes and it’s relatively inexpensive too.

If you have a printer in your home – you are well on your way to pulling this DIY activity together within minutes and creating a great art piece to show off ALL season long with the kids!!

In this #gluedtomycrafts craft post, I’ve included a FREE printable, so all you need to do is print the freebie in color on white cardstock paper, grab some pastel colored ink pads and have children decorate the field with as many as they like “egg” thumbprints. That’s it! It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to pull it together!

Looking for a fun and easy Easter craft project for your kids to recreate this April? Then look no further than this thumbprint egg hunt craft on paper!

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Egg Hunt Printable
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Ink Pad
  • Baby Wipes
  • Thin Tipped Markers

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the free template printable {listed above in the supply list} on white cardstock paper.
  • Next grab your ink pads and open them up.
  • Press your thumb {or any other finger} on the ink pad, then on the printable.
  • Repeat to make “thumbprint eggs” ALL OVER the grassy field.
  • Clean off your fingers with a baby wipe and a quick trip to the sink with soap & water.
  • To finish off the Thumbprint Easter Egg Hunt, draw on squiggles, lines and dot embellishments with Sharpie markers to give each egg a fun look.
  • Then display it proudly for all to see!
