Halloween witch legs craft with green and purple crepe paper, black paper plate, paper ghosts, glue bottle, and @GLUETOMYCRAFTS label on purple background. Art supplies are scattered around the crafting area.

Uh oh… it looks like one clumsy witch took a tumble right into her own bubbling cauldron! Legs up, boots wiggling, and a potion brewing away – this silly scene is exactly the kind of Halloween fun your little goblins will love making. 👻

Here at Glued To My Crafts, we’re all about easy, low-mess projects that use supplies you probably already have stashed in your craft bin. This Torn Crepe Paper Witch In Cauldron craft checks every box: it’s colorful, it builds those fine motor skills, and it doubles as spooky-cute wall art when it’s done. Best of all? We’ve got a FREE printable for the witch boots and ghost cutouts to make things extra easy. 💜💚 So grab your streamers and let’s BREW up some magic!

Craft Supplies:

Here’s your potion – I mean, supply list:

  • Purple crepe paper streamer 💜
  • Green crepe paper streamer 💚
  • Black paper plate (for that spooky cauldron)
  • Purple construction paper (this is your base)
  • Elmer’s school glue (washable and kid-friendly!)
  • Dot stickers (these make the cutest bubbles)
  • Purple Sharpie marker
  • Scissors
  • Our FREE printable – password is GLUEDTOMYCRAFTS2026

That’s it! Nothing fancy, nothing pricey. Just good old-fashioned craft-bin goodies. ✨

Directions:

  • Step 1: Draw Your Witch Leg Guidelines ✏️ Start by laying your purple construction down vertically. Using your purple Sharpie, draw two slightly diagonal lines near the center that form an open “V” shape – think of a witch kicking her legs up in the air! These lines are just your guide, so no need for perfection here. Wobbly legs make the whole thing even funnier. 😄
  • Step 2: Tear Up Your Crepe Paper 🙌 Now for the fun part – the tearing! Pull off strips of your purple and green crepe paper, then tear them into little squares. Don’t worry about neat edges. The ripped, ruffly look gives those witch stockings tons of texture. This step is perfect for tiny hands, so let the kiddos go to town!
  • Step 3: Glue On Your Striped Stockings 💜💚 Squeeze a line of Elmer’s glue right along one of your marker lines. Then press your torn squares on top, alternating purple and green as you work your way up the leg. Keep going until both legs are fully covered in cheerful, stripy stockings. Repeat on the second line, and just like that – your witch has some seriously stylish socks!
  • Step 4: Cook Up the Cauldron 🖤 Time to build that bubbling pot! Take your black paper plate and cut it so you’re left with the bottom portion – a rounded, half-plate shape works perfectly. Glue this to the bottom of your cardstock, right over the base of the witch’s legs, so it looks like she’s plopped right inside. Splash!
  • Step 5: Add the Bubbles 🫧 Here’s where the dot stickers shine! Peel and stick them along the top edge of your cauldron, letting them cluster and spill over like a potion boiling over. Add as many bubbles as you like – the more, the merrier (and the messier that brew looks)!
  • Step 6: Top It Off With Boots & Ghosts 👢👻 Cut out the witch boots from your free printable and glue them to the very tops of your crepe paper legs, pointing the toes outward for that classic tumble-into-the-pot pose.
  • And there you have it – one adorable witch who really should’ve watched her step! 🧙
