Directions:
Step 1: Set Up Your Paint Station
Squeeze a generous puddle of black acrylic paint onto your paper plate. Spread it out a little so it’s easy to dip into. Lay your sheet of cardstock paper flat on the table, and roll up any sleeves – things are about to get wonderfully messy.
Step 2: Stamp the Spider Bodies
Take a pool noodle ring and press one flat end into the black paint. Make sure the edge is well coated. Then press it firmly onto the cardstock and lift it straight up. Stamp two or three spiders across the paper, spacing them out so there’s room for legs.
Step 3: Paint the Legs with a Fork
Here’s the clever part. Dip the tines of your plastic fork into the remaining black paint, then gently press them onto the paper right beside your spider’s body. The four tines create four thin lines that look just like spider legs!
Press the fork on both sides of each body to give every spider its eight legs. Don’t worry about making them perfectly even – a little wobble makes them look extra spooky and fun.
Step 4: Let It Dry
Set your paper aside and let the paint dry completely. This usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes. This is a great moment for a snack break or to read a Halloween story while you wait.
