It uses basic supplies like paper plates, dot stickers, and wooden craft sticks to build a colorful summer treat that never melts in the sun.

Craft Supplies:

You only need a few basic items to get started on this craft:

  • White paper plates – 1 per craft
  • Colorful circular dot stickers
  • Wooden craft sticks – 1 per craft
  • Scissors
  • Stapler

Directions:

  1. Take one white paper plate and cut off the curved left and right sides. You want to leave a tall, rectangular piece in the middle. The ruffled edges at the top and bottom give your popsicle a great classic shape.
  2. Grab a wooden craft stick and place it at the bottom center of your cut paper plate.
  3. Use your stapler to attach the stick to the plate. One solid staple usually holds the stick firmly in place so kids can hold their finished craft easily.
  4. Now comes the best part. Peel and stick the colorful dot stickers all over the front of the paper plate. Encourage kids to overlap the circles, build stripes of color, or make a giant rainbow pattern. The more stickers they use, the brighter the popsicle turns out.
  5. Once you are done decorating, display it proudly for all to see!
