Craft Supplies:

Before you start, gather the following materials. Most of these are likely already in your craft stash or are easy to find at your local store.

  • Brown Construction Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Muffin Compares Printable – on our landing page
  • School Glue
  • Blue Craft Paint
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Embellishments

Directions:

This craft is super simple to make and perfect for young children with minimal adult supervision.

  • First things first – download and print out the FREE provided muffin compares to you printable listed above, on a single piece of white cardstock paper.
  • Have kids color in the muffin cup “liner” in the design. They can use any type of coloring material and/or colors.
  • Next up, help your child cut/tear their brown construction paper into small pieces.
  • Now have them use school glue to glue those pieces inside the “muffin cup” design. Remind the kids that the goal isn’t perfection—the jagged edges give the muffin design a fun, textured look.
  • The final step is to have kids add fingerprint “blueberries” on top of the brown paper, to bring the the theme together {or skip this step all together if you choose!}
  • When they are done decorating, allow the finished design to dry completely before gifting.
