Craft Supplies:
Here’s everything you’ll want to gather before starting the craft:
- Popsicle Sticks (wide craft sticks work best)
- Cotton Balls (you’ll need THREE per fluffy snowman body)
- Glue (a low-temp hot glue gun is best for faster drying times, but regular school glue works too)
- Craft Scissors
- Cardstock Paper {orange and black}
- Embellishments {adhesive jewels and craft ribbon}
Once you’ve gathered your supplies, it’s time to bring your snowman puppet to life!
Step-by-Step Instructions to Make a Snowman Puppet:
- First things first – pull out THREE cotton balls and one craft stick per snowman puppet.
- Glue the THREE balls to one end of the stick, in a straight line. Be sure to “squish” the cotton balls down so they really stick.
- Once the snowman’s body has taken shape now it’s time for the embellishments. Cut out a hat and carrot nose from the cardstock paper. Glue those in place.
- Finally, glue down three jewels for the “buttons.” on the snowman.
- Add some personality to your snowman puppet with a scarf accessory. Simply cut a long piece of craft ribbon and tie it around his neck.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Allow it all to dry completely before you play with them proudly!
