A Popsicle Stick & Cotton Ball Snowman Puppet is the perfect craft activity to brighten up a chilly winter day. It’s simple, fun, and packed with opportunities for creativity. Plus, it’s a sweet way to bond with your kids and create lasting memories.

Gather your supplies, grab a mug of cocoa, and enjoy the joy of crafting something special together.

Craft Supplies:

Here’s everything you’ll want to gather before starting the craft:

  • Popsicle Sticks (wide craft sticks work best)
  • Cotton Balls (you’ll need THREE per fluffy snowman body)
  • Glue (a low-temp hot glue gun is best for faster drying times, but regular school glue works too)
  • Craft Scissors
  • Cardstock Paper {orange and black}
  • Embellishments {adhesive jewels and craft ribbon}

Once you’ve gathered your supplies, it’s time to bring your snowman puppet to life!

Step-by-Step Instructions to Make a Snowman Puppet:

  • First things first – pull out THREE cotton balls and one craft stick per snowman puppet.
  • Glue the THREE balls to one end of the stick, in a straight line. Be sure to “squish” the cotton balls down so they really stick.
  • Once the snowman’s body has taken shape now it’s time for the embellishments. Cut out a hat and carrot nose from the cardstock paper. Glue those in place.
  • Finally, glue down three jewels for the “buttons.” on the snowman.
  • Add some personality to your snowman puppet with a scarf accessory. Simply cut a long piece of craft ribbon and tie it around his neck.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit.
  • Allow it all to dry completely before you play with them proudly!
