Craft Supplies:

Here’s everything you’ll want to gather before starting the craft:

  • Popsicle Sticks (wide craft sticks work best)
  • Cotton Balls (you’ll need THREE per fluffy snowman body)
  • Glue (a low-temp hot glue gun is best for faster drying times, but regular school glue works too)
  • Craft Scissors
  • Cardstock Paper {orange and black}
  • Embellishments {adhesive jewels and craft ribbon}

Once you’ve gathered your supplies, it’s time to bring your snowman puppet to life!

Step-by-Step Instructions to Make a Snowman Puppet:

  1. First things first – pull out THREE cotton balls and one craft stick per snowman puppet.
  2. Glue the THREE balls to one end of the stick, in a straight line. Be sure to “squish” the cotton balls down so they really stick.
  3. Once the snowman’s body has taken shape now it’s time for the embellishments. Cut out a hat and carrot nose from the cardstock paper. Glue those in place.
  4. Finally, glue down three jewels for the “buttons.” on the snowman.
  5. Add some personality to your snowman puppet with a scarf accessory. Simply cut a long piece of craft ribbon and tie it around his neck.
  6. Add any other embellishments you see fit.
  7. Allow it all to dry completely before you play with them proudly!
