Recreating our “paper plate and handprint apple picking” craft tutorial is a delightful way to celebrate the fall season with your child. This simple yet engaging project offers numerous benefits, from developing fine motor skills to fostering creativity and family bonding.

Craft Supplies:

Before we get started, let’s gather all the materials you’ll need for this craft:

  • Small Paper Plate
  • Paint Brush
  • Red Craft Paint
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Skin-Tone Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Pencil

Having all these materials ready will ensure a smooth crafting experience and keep the kids focused on the fun.

Directions:

  • First things first – let’s make the apple! Simply paint the small paper plate completely red.
  • Set it aside to let it dry completely.
  • Now for the paper elements. Out of the brown and green cardstock paper, cut out a stem & leaf shape.
  • Staple those in place on the painted paper plate.
  • Out of the skin tone paper, trace and cut out a handprint design.
  • Finally, you are going to staple that handprint cutout to the paper plate red apple, so it looks like it’s being held/picked off the tree.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit and display it proudly for ALL to see.
