This season, steer away from store-bought decorations and dive into a DIY craft that is as rewarding to make as it is visually stunning.

This tutorial will guide you through making a patriotic “Fireworks Snow Globe” using simple materials like cupcake liners and paper, bringing a festive sparkle to your home.

Craft Supplies:

  • SNOW GLOBE ON OUR LANDING PAGE
  • Blue Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Large Cupcake Liners
  • Small Cupcake Liners
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments
  • Printed Picture
  • Marker

Directions:

  • First things first, grab the free blank snow globe file {listed above in the supply list} and print it out on white cardstock paper.
  • Next up – grab your scissors and trim out the design. Discard excess paper.
  • Go ahead and glue the snow globe cutout to the center of your blue paper.
  • Now for the cupcake liner fireworks. Grab your various sizes/colors of cupcake liners, along with the stapler and scissors.
  • Flatten out a few {2 to 3 different colored} cupcake liners with your hands and stack them on top of each other.
  • Using the stapler, secure them in the center.
  • Now use the scissors to make a fringe around the edge.
  • Fluff it up with your hands.
  • Repeat the cupcake liner step to make several “fireworks” for inside your snow globe.
  • Once you have the fireworks done, go ahead and arrange/glue them inside the paper snow globe design.
  • To finish off your 4th of July snow globe keepsake, add your picture in the center, as well as your embellishments.
  • Then display your patriotic fireworks snow globe proudly, for ALL to see!!

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
