Don’t be afraid to step outside the traditional with your child, this Christmas season!
I honestly had no intention of bringing “foxes” into my holiday craft plans this year on Glued To My Crafts BUT after picking up some basic craft foam star shapes at my local Michaels store recently, the idea came together just like that!
Keep scrolling to learn more about how this “Craft Foam Star Santa Fox” idea came to life!
Like I mentioned above, I had no intention of bringing woodland friends into our craft plans this year {although I did share a Santa Fox idea three years ago on Glued To My Crafts!}
But as I was cleaning up my craft room drawers earlier this week, I started brainstorming some ideas in my head, with the leftover craft foam stars I bought for our Star Shaped Santa post from last month. One thing led to another and here we are today with this latest kids craft tutorial! This is going to be a SUPER quick idea that is just as easy for me to write up, as it is for you to put together on the fly!
So find the full steps and material lists below! Happy crafting and stepping outside the traditional, my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your Santa friends with us #gluedtomycrafts

- Black Colored Cardstock
- Basic Craft Scissors

Directions:
- First things first – take your white puffy paint and paint on ears & some side burns on your craft foam star shape. Use our picture for an example.
- Once done, sprinkle some white glitter on top of the white paint to add some sparkle.
- Set it aside.
- Now grab your red and black cardstock & scissors.
- Cut out a medium sized triangle Santa hat and small circle nose for your fox.
- Set them aside.
- Next grab your two wiggle eyes and glue them into the center of your craft foam shape.
- Follow that up with the Santa hat and nose on the orange star piece.
- Finally, to finish the Star Santa Fox Craft, glue on some cotton ball pieces along the brim of the cardstock hat and one towards the top for added fun.
- Set it all aside in an undisturbed area to allow it to dry completely.
- If you would like to make this into an ornament for the tree, hole punch the top of the foam piece and string some ribbon through it!
- Display proudly!
