So as you may have guessed already, today’s tutorial is inspired by my childhood and watching the A Charlie Brown Christmas {affiliate link} every year like clockwork. This Popsicle Stick Snoopy’s Dog House craft is perfect for your Christmas and winter celebrations & traditions too!
I even got to use my NEW Elmer’s Black Glitter Glue {affiliate link} to add that special touch on the Christmas lights!
If you would like to recreate this DIY Snoopy’s dog house craft with your child today {or make one yourself!} find the full popsicle stick tutorial below!!! Popsicle Stick Dog House Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks {9 per Snoopy dog house}
- School Glue
- Red Craft Paint
- Small Paper Plate
- Paint Brush
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Red Colored Cardstock
- White Cardstock
- Elmer’s Black Glitter Glue
- optional – Rhinestones/Sequins/Loose Craft Glitter
Directions:
- First have children assemble their popsicle sticks to look like a fence {7 next to each other and 2 across} This will be the base of Snoopy’s dog house.
- Set aside to let it dry completely.
- Repeat for each house you want to make.
- Once done, squirt some craft paint on your paper plate.
- Have children paint their newly made popsicle stick shape completely red.
- Set aside again to let it dry.
- Now grab the cardstock. Cut out a roof from the red and some snow from the white.
- Next, go ahead and glue your cardstock pieces to the popsicle stick shape.
- Once done, draw on “christmas lights” with the glitter glue and add sequins on top.
- Then display proudly for all to see!
